Triptrotting swept through Europe with its TRIPup series, hosting events in 8 different cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Madrid and Prague. TRIPups ranged from poetry readings to beer factory tours, BBQ parties to night clubbing, and aperitivos to soccer stadium hangouts. In all, over 350 Triptrotters attended the events, hosted by each city’s Local Advisors.
“I went to the pub hangout in London. It was my first TRIPup, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it was great to meet fellow Triptrotters and hang out,” Triptrotter Laurell Lee Turner said.
The Berlin TRIPup, co-hosted with Wimdu, drew a crowd of over 100 Triptrotters. The night included a free BBQ, live music, and a contest for best travel photo in Berlin.
“Lots of people came out, it was great to see travelers and locals mingling,” Local Advisor Virgil Esguerra said.
TRIPups are part of Triptrotting’s worldwide exclusive events hosted by local members for travelers, locals and expats from around the world. TRIPups have been hosted in Jakarta, Milan, Hollywood, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town and more.
