Tip: If you’re bringing a smart phone with you on your travels, disable your device’s auto-check function, so that you don’t automatically download emails and get charged for additional date. You can still manually load your emails through WIFI.
To turn off auto-check:
For iPhone Users: Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch New Data. Toggle “Push” to “OFF” and under “Fetch”, select “Manually”
For Android Users: Select: Settings > Accounts and sync > Manage Accounts. Un-check “Auto-sync” to cancel all auto-sync functions
